At this step you need to prepare your Internet Connection and Private Connection.
On the Internet Connection you need to:
1. If protected by a firewall: Allow ports 8005 & 8006 (TCP) in the firewall.
2. If behind a NAT router: Map ports 8005 & 8006 (TCP) to your Internet Connection IP address
Note: Microsoft Windows firewall and UPnP enabled NAT routers, are automatically configured by the 2hotspot controller.
Tip: It is possible that the Internet
Connection will be behind a NAT router but it is not recommended.
Microsoft
Windows Internet Connection Sharing is already performing NAT functions for your
hotspot users, using an additional NAT device, will inhibit UPnP to function
properly and some Internet services (like video conferencing) will not be
available to your hotspot users.
On your Private Connection you need to:
1. Configure the connection to receive connections from other wireless devices
2. Set the wireless SSID to 2HOTSPOT
3. Disable any operational DHCP server. This is mandatory in order to avoid conflicts with Microsoft Windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) own DHCP server
